I just ordered the factory trailer wiring harness and after looking at the install package online it appears it plugs in the same as my 4 pin curt wiring harness except for the constant battery supply and trailer brake wire. So the dealer told me that it has to be activated in order to work but i don't see how they would be activating the wiring harness, maybe just the trailer sway control? If anyone has any information about this let me know whats up as i see it being a rip off just to charge half hour of labor. Hopefully I am missing something, but I just went to the stealership today and they quoted me $160 for the trailer wiring harness (Apparently it goes all the way up to the front of the car and back) so they quoted me $500 max for purchase and install. Am I missing something here? The guy said it would take about 3 hours to install.
